For 16 years, I served as a Leon County commissioner. I’m a Republican, and I ran for office — and governed — on a simple promise: keep taxes low, keep government lean, and don’t take a dollar from taxpayers that the community doesn’t truly need. I fought that fight through recessions, hurricanes, and plenty of difficult budget cycles. I still believe in it today.
